Either BTGuard is in fact logging your data (unlikely? I dunno). Or, more likely, using a SOCKS proxy w/ torrents is a bad idea. Offhand I'd suggest sticking to VPN when torrenting. They have certainly made efforts to make torrenting great by partnering with uTorrent to form a 2-in-1 client. TorGuard wins again here hands down. We found that the speeds were on a par with BTGuard’s average and setting it up was easy. But the client only provided proxy protection, not a full VPN service.
