CUIMC VPN requires MFA via a program called Duo. Duo is already being used at Columbia University for many online systems , however any existing CU account in Duo cannot be used with CUIMC VPN ; a separate CUIMC account must be set up .

A VPN allows a desktop or laptop located off campus to securely access the University's network and online resources. Many services offered by both the University and College may only be available while on campus. Open Cisco AnyConnect on the computer or device you will be using with CUIMC VPN.
