May 03, 2018 · Dual-stack has been critical in making the risks and costs associated with IPv6 adoption and resulting application performance more manageable. Transition technologies beyond dual-stack such as DNS64/NAT64 are proving useful in enabling the emergence of the IPv6-only data center with all the advantages it may offer.
The files for installing and updating are found in directories organized after the last compilation date. Only the first installation file uses the "factory" file in its name. The support for IPv4/IPv6 dual stack networking is planned to be executed in (at least) two-three steps: Migrate ONAP OOM Helm charts to support Kubernetes 1.17+ interfaces. Currently (June 2020), the newest K8S platform available as RKE distribution is 1.17. · Dual stack: A dual stack device is “bilingual;” that is, it can originate and understand both IPv4 and IPv6 packets. · Manually configured tunnels : A tunnel carries IPv4 packets in IPv6 Mar 13, 2010 · LXer: Linux-ready plug-in enables IPv6 traffic over IPv4 nets: LXer: Syndicated Linux News: 0: 03-10-2010 02:10 PM: LXer: Linux Apache Dual Stacked IPv4 and IPv6 Configuration: LXer: Syndicated Linux News: 0: 08-29-2009 04:50 PM: IPV4/IPV6 Dual Stack Usage: spotmax777: Linux - Networking: 1: 07-17-2007 07:25 PM

Unfortunately, most servers and other Internet devices will not be speaking IPv6 for a while. IPv4 will remain an entrenched standard for some time to come. To best serve our customers during this time, Verizon is rolling out IPv6 address space in a "dual stack" mode – where IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are both loaded.
Dual-stack: In dual-stack configuration, the device is configured for both IPv4 and IPv6 network stacks. The dual-stack configuration can be implemented on a single interface or with multiple interfaces. In this configuration, the device decides how to send the traffic based on the destination address of the other device.
Dual Stack. When a network is configured as dual stack, each device on the network is configured with both an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address, the idea being that once all the devices have implemented IPv6, the IPv4 part of the network will be depreciated. Communication over IPv6 is increasingly desirable, and the natural approach for cluster pods is to be IPv6-native themselves, while still supporting IPv4. Native support for both IPv4 and IPv6 is known as “dual stack”, and Kubernetes has alpha-level support for this in versions 1.16 and 1.17.
