Hey guys, my old linksys router worked perfectly with this feature im not sure why E2000 does not but im tired of this router and i need portforwarding, i have tried single, port range, and neither have worked, i have no firewall on and nothing at all is working, if anyone can help i would be very e Dec 17, 2010 · Just bought a new E2000 and am trying to get port forwarding setup. This was working on my old Netopia router. Home PC using Windows Remote Desktop Connection, connecting to the office where the E2000 is located. I connect to xx.xxx.xxx.xx:4000 (IP Addressof my cable modem:port number). I nee 1. Change the LAN IP address of the second E2000 from 192.168.2.1. to 192.168.1.2. 2. Disable the DHCP server on the same page. 3. Save settings. 4. Unplug the computer and wire one of the LAN ports of the second E2000 to the first E2000. For additional LAN ports get a ethernet switch. Now all you have to do is to set up port forwarding on the first E2000. In most cases, you will be connecting one end of the network cable to the Ethernet port of your cable or DSL modem and the other end to the Internet port of your Linksys E2000. Ethernet Port (1, 2, 3, 4) Using network cables, these Ethernet ports (1, 2, 3, 4) connect the Linksys E2000 to computers or other devices on your wired network that have Ethernet ports such as gaming consoles, HDTVs, Blu-ray Disc™ players, or printers.
